A small beach community north of Barcelona.

The village of Platja d’Aro has the Big Beach, of a big sandy beach with deep waters, or lots of little coves, full of charm along the “Cami de Ronda”. The series of coves includes from Cavall Bernat to the beach of Sant Antoni

Beside the road to Palamos, there’s the Roman Village Pla de Palol (from the 1st to the 5th Century B.C.). Worth a visit are the Church of Santa Maria de Castell d’Aro and the Castle of Benedormiens, located near the Church.
