Torrevieja beaches offer fine sand and clear water. And between the main beaches you will find small rocky coves and an occasional island.
The good beaches south of Torrevieja include those at Cabo Roig and La Zenia. North of Torrevieja, you'll find the excellent beaches of La Mata, (which is also called Torrelamata) and Guardamar, both with the Blue flag awards.
Torrevieja town.beaches include Playa los Locos, Playa del Cura and Playa Naufragos.
Cabo Roig - 6 kilometres south of the town, faces south west and therefore has the afternoon sunshine, a favourite sunbathing spot. It is usually also very calm as it is tucked into a bay.
Las Rocas, in the central coastal area of Torrevieja, is a man made harbour designed for bathing. A wide promenade offers cafés and ice cream parlours.
Playa del Cura. Just to the north of Las Rocas, separated by some rocks, has a nice white sand beach and a promenade with plenty of bar/restaurants.
Inland from the coast are two enormous salt lakes covering some 2,000 hectares. The southern end of the coast is marked by Náufragos beach.
