Sueca, Costa Azahar, Valencia

Sueca consists of a number of hamlets including Mareny de Barraquetes, the centre of the town's tourist sector. The other hamlets are Perelló, and Mareny de Vilches. Mareny’s beach is probably the best, but there are other undeveloped beach areas with sand dunes.

The Valencia Royal Sailing Club is based at Sueca, it's a sailing complex on a canal at La Albufera and Cullera as the River Jucar outlets to the sea. Valencia's yacht club was founded in 1903 and is one of the oldest clubs in Spain. It's a big operation with 1,250 moorings. There are regattas and races most weekends and the club also holds national competitions for the 470, Optimist and Snipe classes. The yacht club also has its own social club, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, sports center, 0fronton" (pelota played with tennis racquets) and tennis and squash courts.
